The regime in Iran is on the brink to break down. Some call it a historic opportunity window to change the situation of the violence torn region.
After sending nearly 200 missiles into Israel without causing greater damage, it is expected that Israel will target relevant infrastructure and officials in Iran by precision missiles. We talk about the regime strategy to sow division between groups in Israel, as it succeeded to do with the Iranian opposition.
We ask Vahid Beheshti what he recommends to Western policymakers in this situation.

On May 6th, we spent four hours in front of the Foreign Office, King Charles Street and in front of 10, Downing Street, discussing threats posed by the regime to Western societies, wrong assessments by Western think tanks, advisors, scholars and politicians concerning the nature of the regime, values we might want to cherish and the current situation in Iran.

Vahid Beheshti – ein Mann in selbstloser Mission, 2024
Der Menschenrechtsaktivist Vahid Beheshti informiert seit vielen Jahren über Menschenrechtsverletzungen des Regimes in Iran. Seit seinem 72-tägigen Hungerstreik 2023 wird er regelmässig von britischen und exil-iranischen Medien zu Ereignissen in Iran befragt. Er scheut sich nicht, sehr offen über die Gefahren durch das Regime in Iran zu sprechen. Dabei benennt er die langfristigen Ziele des Regimes, beklagt die Appeasement-Politik westlicher Staatenlenker und attackiert regelmässig Ideologen des Regimes, die darauf bedacht sind, dem Regime ein Image moralischer Höherwertigkeit in der Welt zu erschaffen.
